HUGE NEWS!!  We just got back from Ami's pre-op check up.  We visited the anesthesiologist first, and then the ear surgeons, because as you remember Ami's operation was switched from local to general anesthesia.  That's why it was postponed for 5 months.

We waited a good two hours in the waiting room for the anesthesiologist, and then I didn't have the blood tests we needed, or any x-rays, in short, I was unprepared.  However, we had time until May 13th so she finished the paperwork and sent us back to the… Read more

Shalom everyone!  We’re ecstatic to be back home and in the land! We finally arrived on April 17 after a grueling airplane experience.  We had quite an odyssey these last almost 3 weeks, with many blessings and adventures.  Our only complaint was our flight to the U.S. which included arriving in Rome, having our connection to NY cancelled, having to fly to London, and then connecting to a different airline to JFK airport in New York City.  All three of our suitcases went missing, and we had to wait a whole… Read more

Shalom from the busy Ortiz household. We are preparing to travel to the U.S. with Ami, as he has vacation for Passover. What prompted the journey was an invitation by Joel Rosenberg to attend his Epicenter 2009 conference in San Diego. He has invited David to share, and Ami and I will be standing on the platform with him. This past Monday, our good friends, and the Middle East Correspondent from CBN’s 700 Club, Chris Mitchell and his wife Liz, came to do an update on Ami and our family. Our days and nights are packed with activity as we approach the second Purim since the incident. Last night our story aired on an Israeli TV program called “Uvda” or “Fact”. It is something like the American 60 minutes, and tells the stories of regular Israeli’s and their life situations. We’d been working on this with them since October, and finally it was aired. This update is late because we were in the midst of some huge events taking place as far as our legal case is concerned. Also, since Sunday night we’ve had a team of 14 praying Greek and Cypriot spiritual warriors who have come to help us minister for a few days, and who have been staying in our congregational facility which is next door to our house.
