I haven't been in touch for a long time - it seems, and I have missed being in touch with you, our many friends that we have had the privilege to meet through these updates!! However, we've been inundated with activities, part of which are connected to a possible breakthrough in the investigation. This past Friday, an article was published in the Jerusalem section of the Ma'ariv newspaper, which is one of the most widely read Hebrew newspapers in Israel. Below is that article that appeared on the internet in Hebrew which I've translated into English, with Ami's help.

It only alludes to our case, citing the Zeev Sternhel case by name. I wrote a complaint to the paper, stating that by not reporting on our case by name we see it as another attempt to downgrade the seriousness of the incident that almost killed our son. I requested that they give the same respect to our family as they have to Professor Sternhel, in light of the 5 months Ami spent in the hospital, the 11 operations that he has undergone with at least 4 more to go, and the suffering that Ami and our family have experienced as the result of the mad act of the perpetrators.

THE HAREDI NACHAL SOLDIER THAT THREATENED THE HOMOSEXUALS

It could be that it will be possible to catch up to the underground murderous gang that carried out in the past years crimes against Secular Jews and the (gay) community. To be noted that the arrested man is not suspected in connection with the murder in the gay clubhouse.

The police suspect that the Haredi Nachal soldier that was arrested on suspicion that he threatened the gay pride rally that took place at Rabin Square in Tel Aviv is a member of a right wing radical Orthodox network that is organized with the purpose to attack everyone whose opinions are different than theirs.

The court extended the remand by three days of the Haredi soldier, Shmuel Freimark, and will not accept the defence lawyers request to not reveal his identity to the public. The Jewish Department of the Shabak is involved in the investigation there is hope that the arrest will expose the dangerous, right wing, radical underground organization that was involved in many serious incidents among them the placing of a bomb next to the house of Professor Ze év Sternhel and other attempts to harm people and personalities whose opinions are different than the views of their Rabbis.

Among the excesses of the suspected underground organization that distributed a flyer that called to assasinate left wingers and to receive a reward for the murder of 1.1 million NIS.

Shmuel Preimark,was suspected of making threats by telephone and over the internet to the leaders of the Homosexual-Lesbian community and of a string of attacks against the community in Jerusalem. A police spokesman said in the Shalom courthouse that we are speaking about a wide spread investigation with a string of suspects. As is customary in the case of an arrested soldier, his weapon has been confiscated as well as his home computer.

It should be noted that the arrested soldier is not suspected of the murder of two people about 10 days ago in the Homo-Lesbian Club.

This is the flyer that was found in the area of Professor Sternhel's house when the bomb was placed there. This was included in the above article. The people in this underground terror cell need prayer, because they are bent on destruction and murder. It is distressing:
 

 

Our blind loyalty to our country and her acts has rewarded us with treachery and death every time. Many of these Arabs stand and laugh at the same time that we are burying our dead. They sit and they probably know the the spiritual and political leaders will continue to cooperate with them and to betray us time after time. They think that we are cowards and it is clear to them that the threat of torture and imprisonment will stop us from standing on what is ours. However they are wrong!

The time has come to take their crushing heels off of our faces and to demand what belongs to us, what God promised us as His chosen people, this land!

The time has come to establish a Halachic (Code of Jewish law) state in Judah and Samaria! The time has come for the kingdom of Judah!

 

AMI NEWS

We had a busy day at the hospital today. We had the pre-operation check up, and when we went into the conference room where a committee of doctors sat, one of the doctor's introduced himself to us as the head of the whole plastic surgery department. All of a sudden he said, "this isn't plastic surgery, it is a rehabilitative orthopaedic surgery!! We were in shock because we've seen the plastic surgeons three times and it was the very capable plastic surgeons who were the ones who made the arrangements for the surgery! The head doctor called an orthopaedic surgeon and off we went to another building in the huge complex of the hospital, and after wandering around a bit, we got to the office of Professor Heim. He is a very compassionate, older gentleman, clearly an expert in his field . He said, yes, the plastic surgeons could have done the surgery, but since we were there, he would do it. It is a simple operation with just local anaesthetic, and not much recovery time, God willing. I was instructed how to change our plans for the surgery, and I pray that all will be well - the hospital is so big and information sharing isn't their high point - however, I would request your prayers that everything will work out as I don't think, in the hustle and bustle, that I gave in all the paperwork that I needed to.

Anyway, I believe this was another of the Lord's gifts to Ami, that a very experienced surgeon who is also a professor will be doing his surgery. . It turns out that Dr. Heim is from Zimbabwe originally, and so it was nice to be able to speak English with him, which we have no problem with Hebrew, but it was an extra treat for David and I.

Before we went through the pre-op procedure, we were seen again by t he ear surgeon. Praise the Lord, everything is fine and Ami can finally shower without having to put a plug at least in his right ear. In January 2010 we will begin the procedure for the second surgery on his left ear.

I would like to ask for prayer for the foot surgery, but also for healing for Ami's left hand, as the more complicated surgery is to take place in November. They will try to build up tissue around the thumb joint in order to hold his thumb in place, and then a nail has to be placed there for 3 weeks. Physical therapy will follow. Can we pray for the left ear drum to grow in by itself, and can we believe God that he won't have to go through these surgeries? We are still God believing for many miracles - for the glory of God, and for the Name of Yeshua to be lifted up.
