December 10, 2009

Thank the Lord that yesterday has passed. We want you to know that the grace and peace of the Holy Spirit was with us, and your prayer was tangibly felt. We thank the Lord for the brothers and sisters who came to be with us and support us by their presence. As each one appeared in court or outside, we felt excited and honored by their presence. The media were swarming, but all in all were very positive and favorable towards us. We had interviews one after another, which continued even when we got home in the evening by phone.

Akram Balbisi ,the father of Teitel's first victim, Samir Balbisi, also was present in court with us, accompanied by one of his nephews. This is the second time we've met them, and it is incredible the bond that we feel because of our mutual tragedy of having been victimized by the same person. It is our honor to go through this process with them. It is also beautiful to see our Orthodox lawyer representing the family and privately and publicly treating them with much respect and care. Twelve years have passed since since Samir Balbisi was murdered and yet the wound in his father's heart is still open and painful. Seeing Teitel did that however, I had the strange reaction of feeling exactly like I did the first day of the attack, my heart was beating and the blood rose to my face.

INTERESTING DEVELOPMENTS

Several interesting moments occurred - Teitel's lawyer didn't show up! The word was that he was doing army reserve duty, but neither he nor his organization made a formal announcement to the court and therefore they had to find a State appointed defence attorney to represent him. This caused a two hour delay.

Teitel's wife and baby arrived, I have to say that I felt something very strange coming from her - a spirit that was very bizarre, there was something almost inhuman about her appearance and spirit. She must feel very ashamed. She doesn't open her mouth to speak to anyone.

Teitel entered with what has become his trademark - cynically smiling and holding up his hands in the V for victory sign. It is true that his eyes are frightening - but I could see from all of his bravado, it was an act, and he averted his eyes from us - even though we tried to make eye contact with him. He also has a very bizarre personality, demonic, cynical, rebellious and hard. He refused to stand up when the 3 judges entered, and when one of the judges told him to stand to respond to the indictments, he refused and said he could listen from where he was. Everyone, including the prison guards who accompanied him into the court, were disgusted and shocked. He degraded himself even further by doing that. The judges could have punished him for contempt of court, but we were told later that they decided not to fall into that trap.

After about ten minutes it was over and again Teitel's response to the indictments was postponed until January 11, 2010, when his attorney will be present.

PRAYER ANSWERED

We felt that the Spirit of the Lord was not at all hindered in the court, the believers were relaxed and honored Yeshua in deed and word, and we were proud to introduce them to everyone as our brothers and sisters.

I personally was surprised when I saw our interviews on TV and heard them on Radio. We appeared joyful, and full of grace! The strange thing was - I didn't "feel" that way within - and so I realized it was a supernatural impartation from the Lord, ordered by prayer.

We want to make a correction from the last update - we referred you to the Hope4Israel website and gave the wrong address - it should be www.hope4israel.org

Thanks to all who gave me the heads up on that.

This is a link to a good article from yesterday which includes a video report: http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3817424,00.html

Thank you all for the strength you impart to us by your love and prayer.

Yours in Yeshua,

Leah
