New Video: 2009 Epicenter Conference
David Ortiz: Is There Any Hope In Our Troubled World? An Israeli Perspective

We've had an interesting week, which included 35 visitors from Germany who were a blessing to minister to. We never get tired of telling the story of the bomb blast and what the God of Israel and Yeshua the Son, as well as the Holy Spirit have done in our lives, turning tragedy into triumph.

A FREIND IN NEED IS A FRIEND INDEED

a friend from the U.S. Has been here for a week. Jeremy Johnson felt the leading of the Lord to come serve with us for a week, leaving behind his wife and 3 very active children. He came just in time to advise us as to a new computer that I desperately needed, as mine was about 5 years old and very slow. He was able to take all of my information and transfer it to the new computer, being that he is a software engineer, and a computer whiz. He has been ministering with us for the week, and it has been refreshing and helpful. It's amazing how the Lord sent someone from Colorado just in time to help us with a very important need.

YOUTH GROUP IN JERUSALEM

We had another great opportunity. Moran Rosenblit is a native born Israeli who has given his heart and everything in his life to Yeshua. I can't even begin to explain how he and his wife have supported us and stood by us thee 14 months. His organization bought us a new dining room table with chairs, living room furniture, refrigerator, fax machine, and other items, all of which had been destroyed by the bomb.

Moran is an extremely talented person, but is also down to earth and one of the most practical people that I know. His wife and children are beautiful - his wife ministers in song, and his kids are adorable. They are a valuable and powerful asset to the kingdom of God, and so are under very strong attack by the enemy at all times. Please pray for the Rosenblit family.

Moran oversees a youth group of youth from 6 congregations in Jerusalem. There are about 30 in the group, and they are very lively! However they face huge challenges growing up as teenagers in this world, but also in Jerusalem, which is center of religion in the world. He asked David, Ami and myself to come and share with the group which we did.

I was so proud of Ami! He shared with the group with such poise and maturity. He told them what happened that day, and the lessons he's learned from the experience. He said that one of the main things that he's learned is that you can't say, Oh, I'll believe tomorrow, or when I'm older, because you never know what is going to happen the next day, or hour for that matter. He said, that we have to be close to the Lord now, and continue with Him daily. He said that when the blast occurred, he called on the Lord, asked for forgiveness, and called for help over and over. He didn't know if he was going to live or die, and so he needed right then to be right with Him.

When I heard him say this - I remembered a promise that the Lord gave us from Psalm 30:1-3:

I will exalt you, O LORD,
For you lifted me out of the depths
And did not let my enemies gloat over me.
2 O LORD my God, I called to you for help
And you healed me.
3 O LORD, you brought me up from the grave [b] ;
You spared me from going down into the pit.

LIGHT IN A DARK WORLD

I was so glad to hear Ami express this.

Ami has decided that his ear is sufficiently healed and has gone back to basketball practice. We return to the ear doctor in early July. Next week we have an appointment with the hand specialists. I will write after this visit and let you know what will happen with the operation.

I pray that the preparation of your hearts for the dreams God has dreamed for you will be realized. We need to be His vessels in this "dark and perverse world" Phil.2:16 -16a -

14 Do all things without complaining and disputing, 15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, 16 holding fast the word of life,
I never have realized before how much the Lord wants us to be His eyes, mouth, hands and feet in these last days. May the purpose of our lives be to bring glory to Yeshua.

Yours in Him,

Leah
