We are wrapping up our week with the Brooklyn Tabernacle team that came to minister here in the land.  They came with a medical team, and a Teens and children's ministry team, 22 in all.  They held 3 days of medical clinics in Jericho in the Palestinian Authority area, which was hosted by a ministry there, and they've helped us to minister in Ariel, which included a fantastic all day teens/children's program which has become a yearly event.  The program was creative and spiritually enriching for the kids, who are the children of believers here in our city.  They all had a great time, and good relationships were formed with the team.

The believers in our congregation just love being with the Brooklyn Tabernacle teams that come.  Their love and spirit are refreshing and comforting.  Many of our congregants come early before the meetings, just to be with them for a few extra hours of fellowship.  Our beloved Andrew also came with the group, for those of you who remember him.  He took 3 months out of his life to help us last year when Ami was still in the hospital.  He took over the youth group, and did countless, invaluable tasks for David and myself, from computer work, shopping, help with our meetings, invaluable help with Ami, etc. Included in the team were also doctors, nurses, and two believing psychiatrists, one a Jewish believer, and the other from Haiti.  It was a wonderful, packed to the brim experience.

Every minute the team was in Ariel, Ami was with them.  It was wonderful timing as he's recovering from the ear surgery and unable to participate in his normal schedule.

AMI NEWS

Ami went back to school on Thursday and is feeling much better.  I can see that he has recovered his strength, Praise the Lord.  He says he feels the healing going on his ear - sometimes there are strange gurgling types of noises, and the itching which we have learned goes along with skin healing.

Tomorrow we will go to a burns specialist, and I'll write to you after that to update you with any new developments.  Ami will be having several doctor's appointments between now and June, and will also be taking some important tests which will affect his college matriculation scores, so please pray for success with his studies in between all of his medical treatment.

2 Corinthians 1:8-11

There have been several tragic incidences of accidents and sickness which have been passed along to us in the last couple of weeks, and we're finding that our understanding and ability to pray for these is very different than it was 14 months ago.  We ache for those who are going through such traumatic and difficult situations with a personal identification, and cry out for miracles from a place which has been created by our experience.  We thank the Lord that we can share with others, as so many of you have been able to share with us.  You have encouraged us with your testimonies of trials, tragedies and ultimate victories in the Lord.  It is a privilege to pray for your needs as well.

2 Corinthians 1:8-11

8

8 We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. 9 Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. 10 He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, 11 as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.

In Yeshua,

Leah
