Shalom - inner heart peace to all!

I wanted to update you on Noia's progress - once more, the prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective (James 5:16).

Noia was due to go into surgery on Tuesday morning at 7:30 AM- I received a call from Moran, her father , at 7AM asking for emergency prayer as all of a sudden she started coughing and turned blue- it was quickly determined that the IV had been put in wrong, and when it was removed she was breathing normally and all was well - then she was taken into surgery, with the surgeons stern orders that no one touch her except for them! However, the surgery was more c complicated than expected because the artery that was going to be used to bypass the short aorta was also in the compromised area, and so quick thinking was needed on the part of the surgeons to execute another strategy. However, this left the aorta open for more than 30 minutes - and they explained to Moran and Melissa that this can sometimes result in paralysis from the waist down. However - God's people were praying, and as the day wore on, Noia began responding and when her feet were tickled by the surgeon, she moved her feet. However, it still wasn't known if there was full movement of the legs, and Noia also wasn't breathing on her own yesterday and so was kept chemically asleep. However! This message from Melissa today...........

Noia is doing much better today! She is still in PICU but is doing most of her breathing and other bodily functions on her own. Her lungs are taking the longest to heal: they have some fluid in them but the Drs are keeping a close eye on that. She looks much better though! The cardiologist is checking to see if her heart is working better- that's all for now.
